As per usual, this month did not disappoint with surreal pure Bali-esque moments and then of course, moments completely on the other end of the spectrum.
When the pendulum swings in one direction, its just Newton’s Third Law of Physics that it will swing back the other way with an equal and opposite reaction.
That’s this month summed up for ya:
Wonderful experiences like going to a Balinese Healer.
Then, not-so-wonderful experiences like finding out a visa agent ran off with all of my money for my visa, and I was technically illegally staying in the country.
No worries though.
It’s all figured out and ya gal came out shinier than ever with minimal scratches and a brand spankin’ new visa that allows me to work in the country legally.
Sometimes what we deem as “bad” or “negative,” is really the thing we need to learn a specific lesson and propel us forward to the next thing.
I went to a Balinese Healer and got the full Eat Pray Love experience.
When I went to the healer, he took out all of the “negative” energy from my feet using a little wooden stick—which surprisingly was excruciatingly painful.
I think this was the spring board that propelled some lingering situations to the surface all at once.
All of these situations, like the illegal visa, I deemed “negative” at the beginning.
This sparked my half-joke of declaring I had been cursed.
Yet, it turns out, these so-called "negative" situations simply just needed to be brought to my attention to be dealt with properly.
There's always a lesson to learn if you're willing to learn it.
And if you're not....chances are another situation will pop up in attempt for you to learn the lesson that time around.
Besides extracting the negative energy from my body, the Balinese Priest has a wife who does readings.
She told me that I will have two houses.
One in Bali and one in the US.
ANNDDD she kept saying that I am a superstar and will be successful in all of my endeavors.
Okayyyyy, okayyyy, say no more… I’ll take that!
Sounds wonderful and definitely reassuring.
Now, just patiently waiting for it to come true… :)
Oh, and she also told me to be very cautious of doing any water activities, which is a bit alarming since I love going in the ocean here.
Apparently there is a water ceremony I can do to cleanse myself and make a sacrifice to the water gods.
Unsure. That bit got lost in translation.
But, I'm always down for an interesting ceremony....except for the fact they wanted to charge a lot of money for it.....
*starts GoFundMe* hahaha
At first, I was like...there's no way I have an ocean curse....
But then, the next time I swam in the ocean, I got a double ear infection, so.....
Believe what ya want hahaha, but imma say this is real.
Don't worry, I made a whole vlog about this experience in depth.
It will come out shortly, and I will notify you when it's here.
In the meantime, I’m putting my head down and putting the pedal to the metal.
I have so many projects that I am excited about.
Like I had mentioned in the last newsletter, I am creating a course about mindfulness and putting together the tools that specifically helped me find more contentment in my life.
It takes a lot to turn an idea into a reality, yet I’m so passionate about this project and I’m grateful I have the drive to finish it.
Creating this course has taken a majority of my time writing out the unique framework and creating all of the modules.
However, when it’s finished, I know I will be over the moon with the end result.
I’ll keep ya updated because, as always, my newsletter crew gets first dibs on the discounted spots.

There are still restrictions here in Bali with everything closing down at 9pm.
Luckily though, I am still allowed to roam the island.
Since I am a proponent of changing scenery often, I drove an hour and a half up to a quaint, quiet surfer’s town for a little getaway—Balian Beach.
No, I am not a surfer.
But I did have the fantasy of working on my course while overlooking the ocean.
Ohhhh, I got that all right.
Balian felt like the little lake house town that is small and cute where everyone knows each other.
It was a nice getaway to feel refreshed and renewed.
When I made it back down south to my humble abode, I said bye to more friends leaving the island.
With fewer and fewer of the original friendship crew here, I decided to take matters into my own hands and meet more gals.
A friend of mine had mentioned that she started using Bumble BFF to meet more girls open to also meeting new people.
So I hopped on the app and met 10 girls the first day who all wanted to hangout the next week.
10 friendship dates seemed completely overwhelming, so I had the genius idea of inviting them all to the same place at the same time.
A Girls' Friendship Meet Up.
If you’re looking to meet more friends in whatever city you’re living, I highly recommend trying Bumble BFF.
It seems weird at first since it is technically a dating app, but ain’t no shame in finding new friends.
12 people attended my first organized meet up from all different parts of the world….England, US, Indonesia, Peru, and Canada.
To my dismay, everyone got along and it wasn't awkward at all!
Now I have a WhatsApp group with all of these girls and we post about social events to attend together.
I’ve gone to yoga classes, brunch, dinner, and have even gone out with some of these ladies.
It feels amazing to bring people together successfully.
Here’s to community building!
Now, I have a full social calendar that includes brunches and coworking, kirtan (chanting spiritual mantras), breathwork classes, dinner dates, women’s circles and much more.
Not only is my calendar full, but my heart is beaming with joy.

It feels incredible that I get to create and choose this life that I want to live.
I no longer feel like I am going through the motions.
I am practicing staying present and experiencing the pure joy each situation brings.
The biggest lesson I learned this month is that almost every problem can be solved by becoming more present.
Yes, it’s normal to look to the future, and it is actually healthy to plan and have a direction you want to go in life.
However, too much forward thinking can cause overwhelm, stress, and worry about problems that haven’t even arisen yet.
Whenever I got stressed, I tried to come back to my body and get out of my mind and remember that in this present moment I have everything I need.
In this present moment, I can come up with a plan to address any issue.
In this present moment, I am liberated from any stress or anxiety.
I know I can handle anything that comes my way.
I know that this strength and resilience will guide me through.
This is the message that kept bopping its head in whenever stress got the best of me.
If it resonates with you, wonderful. If not, let it be.
Take what works for you and leave what doesn’t.
At the end of the month, I had this vision of taking myself on a date at a luxury resort, and I made it happen.
The result? An utterly epic adventure.
More on this jam-packed monumental week-long date in the next newsletter, so stay tuned.
As always, gotta leave ya with a cliffhanger wanting more. :)
